What Is Krill Oil  ?

Krill Oil is a Natural Supplement made from a two inch long sea creature know as Krill.

Krill are small shrimp-like creatures that feed the world's largest animals -- the great whales. These enormous creatures gulp down huge quantities of krill to provide the energy they need to fuel their massive bodies. But whales aren't the only animals that depend on krill for their nutritional needs. So do seals, penguins, sea birds, squid and many species of fish.

Krill isn't a new source of human nutrition either. Krill has been harvested as a food source for both humans and domesticated animals since the 1800s and possibly even earlier in parts of the world such as Japan, where Krill is considered a delicacy.

STUDIES

There are many products on the market claiming to help with PMS or Dysmenorrhea. We're showing you a supplement that has proven in clinical studies to be effective.

The results of the following study suggest that Krill Oil can significantly reduce the physical and emotional symptoms related to premenstrual syndrome, and is significantly more effective for the management of dysmenorrhea and emotional premenstrual symptoms than fish oil. Krill Oil has a unique biomolecular profile of phospholipids, omega-3 fatty acids, and diverse antioxidants that surpasses the usual fish oil profile. The association between phospholipids and longchain omega-3 fatty acids highly facilitates the passage of fatty acid molecules through the intestinal wall, increasing their bioavailability, and ultimately improving the omega-3:omega-6 ratio. Furthermore, phospholipid molecules play a major role in membrane fluidity, which may in turn play an active role in the management of emotional symptoms.

Each patient in the chart below was asked to take two 1-gram soft gels of Krill Oil once daily with meals during the first month of the trial. During the following two months, patients continued on a cyclic dose of two 1-gram soft gels eight days prior to and two days during menstruation.

What is Dysmenorrhea?  Dysmenorrhea is a medical condition characterized by severe uterine pain during menstruation. While many individuals experience minor pain during menstruation, dysmenorrhea is diagnosed when the pain is so severe as to limit normal activities, or require medication.

Dysmenorrhea can feature different kinds of pain, including sharp, throbbing, dull, nauseating, burning, or shooting pain. Dysmenorrhea may precede menstruation by several days or may accompany it, and it usually subsides as menstruation tapers off. Dysmenorrhea may coexist with excessively heavy blood loss, known as menorrhagia.

Secondary dysmenorrhea is diagnosed when symptoms are attributable to an underlying disease, disorder or structural abnormality either within or outside the uterus. Primary dysmenorrhea is diagnosed when none of these are detected.

The results of the following clinical trial demonstrates that daily doses of 1-3 g krill oil are significantly more effective than 3 g EPA/DHA fish oil in the management of hyperlipidemia.

Furthermore, a maintenance dose of 500 mg krill oil is significantly effective for long-term regulation of blood lipids. The unique molecular composition of krill oil, which is rich in phospholipids, omega- 3 fatty acids, and diverse antioxidants, surpasses the profile of fish oils and offers a superior approach toward the reduction of risk for cardiovascular disease.

Below, you will find four tables that clearly demonstrate the results of taking from 1 gram to 3 grams of Krill Oil per day. The numbers in the tables show you the starting average of the people in the study and testing after 90 days of supplementing with Krill Oil. You will see the positive benefits of lowering "Bad" Cholesterol and raising "Good" Cholesterol as well as helping to decrease triglycerides

Antioxidants, such as those found in Krill Oil, neutralize free radicals that damage cells and tissues. Scientific evidence suggests that antioxidants are a cornerstone in the prevention of cancer and that they seem to play an important role in the prevention of Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's, as well as slowing the aging process.

The antioxidants in Krill Oil are up to 550 times more powerful than vitamin E. Specialized tests (ORAC have demonstrated excellent
antioxidant power, superior to lycopene and co-enzyme Q10.
