- Place your new Soy Candle on a heat resistant, dry surface away from anything that can catch fire, and out of reach of small children, pets, and drafts.
- When appropriate, use holders designed for the particular candle styles.
- Do not trim wick(s) when lighting the very first time..... After that, trim your new Soy Candle to 1/4" to 1/2" before lighting.
- Always store soy candles in a cool, dark, dry place.
- A burning candle should never be left unattended.
- Keep soy candle wax free of match pieces, wick trimmings, flammables, and combustibles.
- Avoid burning candles in a draft or near excessive vibration as this may cause uneven burning.
- If your soy candle begins to smoke, it is an indication that the wick is too long. ( Time to trim...ref back to #3)
- Extinguish the wick and wait for wax to solidify before trimming the wick and relighting.
- Allowing candles to liquefy to the edge before extinguishing will prevent tunneling. The larger the diameter candle, the longer it will take the candle to liquefy to the edge. Occasionally different fragrances burn at different rates of time.
- Damaged containers should not be used. NEVER....use if cracked, chipped or scratched.
- Glass containers may become hot. Always burn candle on a protected surface or coaster, and avoid moving lit candles.
- Discontinue use of candle when 1/4" of wax remains. Allowing candle to burn until no liquid remains will cause excessive heat, and may cause glass to break or incur damage to surface area where candle is being burned.
- Never replace the lid on a container candle to extinguish the flame.
- Do not allow direct sunlight to any candle. Sunlight may cause change in candle characteristics and/or even oxidize.
- Soy wax is the natural soot-free candle.
